 Martial Arts Timeline Of Instructor Victor Sinansky

1985 – Victor Sinansky began TaeKwon-Do at the University of Denver,  in Colorado.

1986 – He joined the University of Denver TaeKwon-Do team and competed in both forms and sparring in the rocky mountain region. He held several 1st, 2nd and 3rd place wins in both form and sparring competition. His original instructor at the University of Denver TaeKwon-Do Club was Mr.  Joe Douglas (ITF 3rd degree black belt)

 1989 – Certified for 1st Degree Black Belt at the University of Denver, under Master Young-Chul Ra. Master Young-Chul Ra was one of a handful of the original students of the TaeKwon-Do creator and founder, General Choi Hong Hi.

 1990 – Created and instructed the New York Life TaeKwon-Do Club, which quickly grew in two years to 100+ students.

 1992 – Created and instructed the Lotus TaeKwon-Do Club in midtown New York City.  

 1992 - Certified for 2nd Degree Black Belt in Saratoga, Wyoming under Master Young-Chul Ra

 1992 – Competed at the United States TaeKwon-Do Black Belt Nationals, held in Roxbury, Massachusetts

 1994 – New York Life TaeKwon-Do held its 1st Black Belt certification . 12 fellow co-workers certified for  the 1st degree Black Belt.

 1994 – Began studying the Tai Chi Chuan – Yang Style Long form under Mr. Tom Reardon, a student of  Master CC Chen. Mr. Reardon was one of the first twelve New York Life employees to attain the The level of  1st degree black belt at New York Life, under TaeKwon-Do instructor Victor Sinansky.

 1995 -  Formed the 501c3 non-profit corporation, The Mind and Body Network, Inc., for the purpose of providing charitable instruction to disadvantaged teenagers in the lower east side of New York City. As part of USTF-ITF black belt requirements, the Mind and Body Network created the opportunity for black belts to fulfill their community service requirements, while at the same time, help provide the valuable training of TaeKwon-do as an after school program for to teenagers who cannot afford lessons at commercial martial arts schools.

 1996 – Instructor Sinansky joined the United States TaeKwon-Do Federation, the official governing body of Tae Kwon-Do in the United States. Began training under Mr. Vincent Affatigato (5th degree USTF-ITF black belt in Brooklyn, New York.

 1996 – Created with the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, the Alfred Smith TaeKwon- Do program, located in the Alfred Smith Recreational Center (lower east side, NYC).

 1996 - Created with the New York City Housing Authority and Lillian Wald Houses,  InDaHood TaeKwon-Do, located in Lillian Wald houses (Avenue D and Houston). This was a  successful after school program for teenagers, similar to midnight basketball.  This program was instructed by both Victor Sinansky and Mr. Nigel Mundy (1st student of Mr. Sinansky to attain the  2nd degree black belt (USTF-ITF).

 1996 – Lotus TaeKwon-Do in Midtown, was expanded and renamed  Lotus Martial Arts. Instructor Sinansky also began instructing Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan in midtown, New York City. This program was offered through the Lotus Fine Arts, a well known NYC Northern India dance school. 

 1997-   Instructor Sinansky's 1st article written was published as the editorial article in October 1997 “TaeKwon-Do Times”

 1998 – Attended an International TaeKwon-Do Instructors seminar in Ochos Rios, Jamaica. This week long seminar has taught by the founder of TaeKwon-Do, General Choi Hong-Hi, and his son Choi Jung-Hwa.

 2000 –  Mr. Nigel Mundy (2nd degree ITF-USTF) student of  Instructor Sinansky, was appointed as the instructor for New York Life TaeKwon-Do

 2001 – Victor Sinansky certified for his 3rd Degree Black Belt in Brooklyn, New York under Master Vincent Affatigato, instructor if Original TaeKwon-Do in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.

 2004 – New York Life instructors attended the International TaeKwon-Do Instructors seminar in Queens, New York. This seminar was taught by the new ITF technical Committee, who reside in Italy, Austria and Canada.

 2008 - On May 2nd, Victor Sinansky and Nigel Mundy both certified for their 4th degree black belts in ITF-USTF at the Original TaeKwon-Do Center in Brooklyn, under Master Vincent Affagato (7th Degree Black Belt).
